It appears that the Chicago Bulls have made another move to shore up their roster this offseason. According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, the Bulls have signed power forward Kenneth Lofton Jr. to a one-year contract. Lofton spent last season with the Memphis Grizzlies, the Philadelphia 76ers, and the Utah Jazz. Across 21 NBA games, the 22-year-old averaged 4.6 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 1.6 assists. Lofton was able to show off his skills in four games with the Jazz. Lofton’s averages with Utah were 13.8 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists per game. In addition, he shot 60 percent from the field and 33.3% from beyond the arc.

Last season, Lofton spent the majority of his time in the G League with the Delaware Blue Coats and Salt Lake City Stars. And, while his NBA statistics were forgettable, the forward performed admirably in the G League. Lofton averaged 25.1 points on 56.4% shooting over 19 G League games last season. In addition, he averaged 9.5 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 1.1 steals, and 1.3 blocked shots per game.
